About Val Chmerkovskiy

A Dancing with the Stars legend, TV personality and author Val Chmerkovskiy has garnered international attention after joining the ABC crew in 2011.  He is a 14-time U.S. National Champion and two-time World Dance Champion. To make dance accessible to more people nationwide, Val also co-founded Dance With Me Studios, an internationally acclaimed dance company, with his brother Maks.  Likewise, Val also co-founded  a virtual on-demand platform with classes, workouts, background interviews and more called Dance & Co. Both opportunities pose as Val’s mission to train those of all talent backgrounds and levels.  

Val has also appeared on Netflix’s Fuller House, Fox’s Flirty Dancing and served as a judge on Dancing with the Stars: Juniors. Off the screen, Val wrote a memoir “I’ll Never Change my Name,” describing his life as an Eastern European immigrant.
