Kristin Simmons is a painter, printmaker and silkscreen artist. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Orra White Hitchcock and National Endowment of the Arts Award. Her work can be seen at kristinsimmonsart.com.
Simmons describes her style as a critique of American culture and showcases her work in a provocative and unapologetic manner. She utilizes glitter, childhood artifacts and neon to depict a story of “satiation and indulgence.” She’s had two solo shows to-date and has had her work featured in group exhibitions, including the 2016 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum in NY.
